WEEE Recyling

The UK's Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations require that all retailers of electrical goods assist in delivering a UK-wide collection and recycling system to encourage consumers to recycle old or unwanted electronic equipment.

Recycling and reusing unwanted electrical or electronics can help save the planet, boost the economy and improve lives. Not only that, electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) contains materials, parts and substances which can be dangerous to the environment and harmful to human health if not disposed of correctly.

As part of our commitment to reducing the amount of unwanted electrical waste being incinerated or sent to landfill sites, we’ll recycle your old electricals free of charge when you buy new ones (like for like). There are several ways this can be done. You can bring the item in to us within 28 days, show us the receipt for its replacement and we’ll do the rest. Alternatively, you can either take the item to your local council recycling site or you can contact them to arrange a home collection of larger items (there may be a small charge for this service).

Look out for this symbol on your equipment. Everything will have it, and it serves as a reminder for us to recycle!
