What Is True RGB / Micro RGB / RGB Mini-LED?
True RGB, Micro RGB or RGB Mini-LED is a new technology that is used in the most premium LED TV ranges. We're going to call them RGB LED TVs for ease.
These use separate Red, Green & Blue LEDs in the backlight instead of White or Blue LEDs which then use colour filters to create the colour required. The RGB backlight produces a brighter more colourful accurate image.

Why is it better than LED, QLED or QNED?
With LED, QLED or QNED they use white or blue LEDs / mini LEDs in the TVs backlight.
The backlight produces the light the colour filters then filter the colour.
RGB LED TVs produce the light and filter colour leading to higher colour accurately especially when producing extremely bright colours where traditional colour filters can wash out. Great for HDR TV shows & movies, which there's more & more of on BBC iPlayer, Amazon Video, Netflix, YouTube + other TV & streaming services.
The backlight is controlled more tightly. Reducing the glowing halos around bright objects which is common on LED TVs.
